Requirements
- 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, big 4 experience preferred
- A. or B.S degree in Accounting or Finance ( CPA strongly preferred )
- Knowledge of US GAAP standards required
- Knowledge of accruals and preparing monthly balance sheet supporting schedules
- Strong work ethic and drive to seek continual professional development
- Must be well organized, have the ability to prioritize, be a self-starter and comfortable communicating across various internal teams and external partners
- Exceptional attention to detail, professional attitude, reliable
- Proficient in Excel (Advanced) and Word
- Thorough knowledge of applicable general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and financial statements
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Responsibilities
- Perform global month end and quarter end close processes through ownership of various accounting tasks, critical accounting entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses in compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and SOX
- Work closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatment
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other key deliverables for review by the CFO, investors, and external auditors
- Manages internal stakeholder expectations through monitoring and reporting key metrics on the Revenue Accounting organization’s performance relative to quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Research, prepare, and review technical accounting analyses
- Review deals and related contracts terms to ensure proper application of ASC 606 and internal accounting policies
- Have an understanding of ASC 340 and be able to research and prepare schedules for contract acquisition costs (e.g. commissions)
- Active collaboration with the billing/accounts receivable, GL accounting, tax, and deal desk teams, as well as cross collaboration with various teams across the entire organization
- Provide tax compliance support as needed for various state reporting requirements (Sales and Use Tax)
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities
- Drive operational process improvements and system integrations
- Ability to analyze problems, develop/recommend options and resolve issues
- Assist in ad hoc analysis and projects related to billing and revenue recognition as required
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, and SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Tableau preferred
