Senior Web3 Backend Engineer in Switzerland

Summary

The job is for a Web3 backend developer at Gelato, an Ethereum Rollup as a Service Platform. The role involves designing scalable APIs, developing smart contract interaction services, optimizing blockchain data processing, collaborating on cross-functional projects, implementing security measures, and driving innovation in Web3 technologies.

Requirements

• 5 years experience with either Node.js/TypeScript and/or Golang
• 3 years experience with Web3 libraries and backend development (e.g. ethers.js, viem)
• 2 years of experience in Solidity smart contract development
• 5 years experience with highly scalable Web API engineering
• Strong knowledge about the inner workings of the EVM
• Experience with P2P systems and libraries (e.g. libp2p)
• B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering or related technical field
• Strong experience with high throughput Database systems
• Strong experience with maintaining scalable microservices systems
• Good experience with distributed systems and/or container orchestration
• Strong interest in Web3/crypto industry
• Experience using crypto applications (e.g. Uniswap, Aave, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Web3 backend APIs
• Develop and maintain backend services for smart contract interaction
• Specialize in smart contract lifecycle management
• Optimize blockchain data processing
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects
• Implement best practices for blockchain security
• Advance our infrastructure-as-code approach
• Drive innovation in Web3 technologies
