SEO Content Specialist

Join our team as an SEO Content Specialist! This hands-on role blends traditional SEO skills with content creation, primarily using WordPress. You'll build SEO strategies, leverage best practices, and collaborate with internal and external teams to improve search engine rankings. The position involves creating engaging content, conducting keyword research, optimizing websites, and generating reports. Success requires proven SEO experience, excellent writing skills, and proficiency with various SEO tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SEO with a proven track record
• Excellent keyword research skills
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
• Ability to conduct thorough keyword research and incorporate keywords strategically into content
• Proven track record of producing high-quality website content and blog posts that drive organic traffic and engagement
• Proficiency with WordPress or similar CMS platform (Elementor is a plus)
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and how technologies such as JavaScript can affect SEO
• Good understanding of UX
• Working knowledge of SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, or similar tools
• Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders, teams and clients
• Organized, detail-oriented, creative problem-solving skills, ability to juggle projects, and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Leverage SEO Research and Optimization skills to create excellent SEO Research and Landing Page Content for in-house properties and clients
• Strive to become a subject matter expert and create excellent and engaging original SEO content
• Conduct keyword research using various tools based on client goals and KPIs
• Identify landing pages for established keywords and opportunities
• Optimize websites for search engines: meta data elements, structured data, content recommendations, site architecture, page layout issues, internal and external linking
• Provide strategic content recommendations
• Create content daily, executing on SEO strategies
• Create and analyze monthly client reports and provide competitive insights
• Pull relevant program data from popular analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Looker/Google Data Studio, etc

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in content strategy and copywriting
• Offsite SEO experience: Develop offsite strategy and manage execution of outreach and promotional strategies for link acquisition
