Join Compose.ly, a leading SEO and content marketing agency, as a Strategic Content & SEO Specialist. This full-time, remote role (North America preferred) is perfect for a content strategist with a strong understanding of SEO principles. You will own content strategy for B2B and B2C clients, creating content briefs and managing editorial calendars. Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, translating data into actionable insights, and staying updated on SEO trends. The ideal candidate possesses 1–3 years of experience in content strategy or SEO content marketing and excellent client communication skills. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or SEO content marketing (agency or in-house welcome)
  • A strategic thinker who can connect keyword intent to user needs and campaign goals and shape content accordingly
  • Strong writing and editing sensibility: you're comfortable briefing or reviewing any type of content
  • Experience briefing or guiding content for multiple formats , including blogs, landing pages, email, social, or video scripts
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or SEMrush , even if you’re not in them every day
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills : you can explain strategy clearly, ask the right questions, and build trust
  • Detail-oriented and organized: You excel at managing multiple deadlines and shifting client priorities without letting anything fall through the cracks
  • Independent project manager: You’re comfortable working autonomously and have experience using project management tools (e.g., Teamwork, Asana, Trello) to keep projects on track and stakeholders aligned

Responsibilities

  • Own content strategy for a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients, with a focus on leveraging SEO insights to inform full-funnel content planning
  • Create content briefs and guidelines for blog posts, LinkedIn posts, email sequences, landing pages, and more, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strategic intent
  • Build and manage editorial calendars that integrate SEO, brand messaging, and audience needs across multiple content formats and distribution channels
  • Serve as the strategic voice on client calls, helping clients understand how SEO and content work together to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO analysts, writers, editors, and account managers to align deliverables with overall marketing goals
  • Translate performance data into actionable content insights, adjusting strategy based on analytics and shifting priorities
  • Stay sharp on SEO trends, AI content evolution, and platform-specific best practices (e.g. LinkedIn, newsletter, blog, YouTube)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with brand tone of voice guides, AI-assisted content tools, or performance-focused creative campaigns
