Requirements

  • 5+ years of SEO experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles managing strategy and team performance
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • At least 2 years of experience independently managing SEO strategy in an in-house or agency setting
  • Expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building strategies
  • Proficiency with industry tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
  • Strong ability to align SEO strategies with broader marketing initiatives and advocate for SEO priorities
  • Proven experience collaborating with engineering, product, CRO, content, and development teams
  • Expertise in tracking and optimizing organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and ROI
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving technical site issues (e.g., crawl errors, redirects, duplication, site speed)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored SEO strategies under the guidance and direction of the Head of SEO
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, technical SEO implementation, and create comprehensive content plans in collaboration with content strategists
  • Perform competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for SEO growth
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of SEO Specialists, ensuring tasks are completed on time and align with the broader SEO strategy
  • Coordinate and prioritize projects to meet deadlines and performance objectives
  • Provide clear direction and ensure quality control over deliverables
  • Monitor the performance of assigned websites, analyzing key metrics related to website traffic, rankings, and overall SEO effectiveness
  • Collaborate with product teams to assess and enhance conversion performance
  • Use performance data to suggest and implement improvements to boost rankings and drive traffic growth
  • Develop and communicate on-page optimization guidelines to the content and technical teams
  • Ensure SEO best practices are adhered to across all web content and technical implementations
  • Create detailed and actionable reports for stakeholders, showcasing SEO progress, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations
  • Present findings and insights to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on SEO goals and initiatives
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to refine SEO tactics
  • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities to enhance organic visibility and stay ahead of industry trends

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with website platforms and CMS (e.g., WordPress), JS-based frameworks (Gatsby, Next.js, Astro), and basic technical knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
