Remote SEO Writer

Summary

Blavity Inc. is seeking a remote SEO Writer for the Travel Noire brand to expand their evergreen content library in the Home and Decor niche. The ideal candidate has digital publishing experience, is comfortable working with WordPress, and possesses excellent organization skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2+ years experience writing for a digital publisher
• 1+ years experience using WordPress (or other content management systems)
• Knowledge of the latest AP Style guidelines, best practices for writing online, and basic understanding of core SEO concepts
• An online writing portfolio demonstrating exemplary writing and content creation skills

Responsibilities

• Pitch compelling SEO stories aligned with Travel Noire’s brand voice and tone
• Execute any assigned SEO stories in a timely manner
• Check articles for grammatical and factual accuracy and readability
• Upload articles to our content management system, following best practices for online content formatting
• Ensure that content follows basic SEO best practices, is well optimized, and demonstrates expertise, authority, and trust (EAT)
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry experts by finding sources and conducting interviews as needed
• Research trending and high-performing topics as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient with keyword research, on-page SEO, and content marketing best practices

• The hourly rate for this role is $20/hr (10-15 hours a week)
