Service Specialist

Summary

The Service Specialist is responsible for providing professional customer service to Forbright Bank customers via phone and written correspondence. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, preferred two years of customer service experience, knowledge of financial institutions, excellent communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The position offers a pay range from $45,000 (entry level) to $55,000 (highly experienced), comprehensive health benefits, 4 weeks PTO, 401k with company match, Metro SmartTrip benefits, remote or hybrid work schedules for most positions, bonuses for sustainable practices, and various other perks.

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls in a fast-paced contact center environment
• Use effective communication and probing questions to identify customer needs and provide relevant solutions, which may include offering banking products
• Advise and educate customers on available Forbright digital tools and resources to improve the user experience
• Answer all inbound calls by welcoming callers, demonstrating interest and willingness to help, projecting energy in tone, being friendly and genuine, ensuring callers’ needs are fulfilled, and providing outstanding customer service
• Embrace continuous improvement and development through coaching and collaboration with manager and team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years customer service experience preferred
• Previous job duties in a CSR / Customer Service Representative titled position preferred
