Summary

Join KnowBe4's team of Site Reliability Engineers and help ensure our platforms remain reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient. Collaborate with other engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment to improve system technologies, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about new AWS services, industry trends, and design patterns, possessing excellent time management and communication skills. Responsibilities include building highly scalable and resilient applications and infrastructure in AWS, maintaining and improving infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and delivering effective observability, monitoring, and alerting patterns. Qualifications include a BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years of experience, along with AWS infrastructure and CI/CD experience. Bonus points are awarded for Python proficiency, AWS certifications, and open-source contributions.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experience
  • Comfortable maintaining existing scripts in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Javascript)
  • Experience maintaining infrastructure in AWS
  • Experience maintaining workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) - GitLab is preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to easily adapt while working on competing projects
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly

Responsibilities

  • Work with other Site Reliability Engineers to build highly scalable and resilient applications and infrastructure in AWS
  • Maintain and improve extensible infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
  • Learn, maintain, and improve our existing deployment strategies
  • Deliver effective observability, monitoring, and alerting patterns for KnowBe4’s applications and infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in secure coding practices
  • Confident writing in Python
  • AWS Cloud Certification(s) - Associate Level
  • Experience working for a public company
  • Open-source contributions or technical blog experience
