Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Site Reliability Engineer at Sezzle, a fast-growing fintech company offering interest-free installment plans. The role involves assisting in running and scaling the cloud infrastructure, responding to production incidents, and improving the on-call experience. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience, knowledge of Microservice Architecture, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Linux platform, Golang, Python, shell script, Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in computer science (preferred) or equivalent related experience
• Basic knowledge of a Microservice Architecture
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
• Familiarity with deployment/provisioning tools like Terraform, Helm, Ansible
• Knowledge in linux platform
• Comfortable working with Golang, Python and shell script
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies

Responsibilities

• Be on a Pagerduty on-call rotation to respond to production incidents
• Maintain and develop monitoring and alerting solutions to improve the on-call experience
• Design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure for running our systems
• Assist product developers in debugging and triaging production issues

Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology, and release processes
