Smart Contract Developer

Summary

The job is for a full-time smart contract developer at Kiln, with options to work remotely from Western EU countries. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying smart contracts on EVM-compatible blockchains, collaborating with developers, writing documentation, testing and auditing smart contracts, staying updated with industry trends, providing technical guidance, and participating in product governance and incident response processes.

Requirements

• Proficient in Solidity and understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)
• 3+ years of experience with smart contract development
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and decentralized architectures
• Knowledge of smart contract security practices and common vulnerabilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent (written and spoken) in both French and English

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts on EVM-compatible blockchains
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate smart contracts with web and mobile applications
• Write comprehensive and well-structured documentation for smart contracts and their functionalities
• Conduct thorough testing and auditing of smart contracts to ensure security and efficiency, addressing and resolving vulnerabilities
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in blockchain and smart contract development
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members
• Participate in product governance and incident response processes with the rest of the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a certified environment (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA...)
• Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions such as Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Zksync
• Previous work with decentralized finance (DeFi) projects
• Contributions to open-source projects in the blockchain space
• Knowledge around Ethereum Staking flows
