Summary
Join American College of Education (ACE) as their Social Media Manager and be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, drive student engagement, and support marketing goals. You will report to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing and collaborate with various departments to create and manage high-quality content across all social media platforms. The role involves social media strategy development, content creation and management, community engagement, performance analysis and measurement, campaign management, and research and insights. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3-5 years of experience in social media management, and exceptional communication and organizational skills. This is a remote position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in higher education or a similar industry
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of social media metrics and analytics tools
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Works with the VP of Integrated Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned which align to the overall marketing objectives and institutional goals
- Identifies and defines target audiences for social media campaigns
- Stays up to date with the latest social media channels, trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the college remains at the forefront of digital engagement
- Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand presence online
- Creates, curates, and manages engaging content (text, images, video) for all social media including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging channels
- Develops and maintains a social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posts
- Collaborates with the creative and content teams to create high-quality and engaging content, graphics, and videos
- Monitors and responds to comments, messages, and mentions across all social media platforms in a timely and professional manner
- Fosters and grow an active community of followers by encouraging engagement and building relationships with key influencers and stakeholders
- Interacts with prospective students, current students, and alumni via the company’s social media accounts
- Addresses any issues or concerns raised by followers and escalate to appropriate departments when necessary
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports on core KPIs and associated metrics such as reach, engagement, conversions, and follower growth to measure the success of social media efforts
- Utilizes data-driven insights to adjust strategies, optimize campaigns, and improve performance
- Prepares and presents regular reports on social media performance to the VP of Integrated Marketing and other stakeholders
- Analyzes the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
- Sets key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes, and measure a campaign’s performance against these KPIs
- Plans and executes paid social media campaigns to support integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Collaborates with the Director of Digital Marketing to align organic social media efforts with broader paid marketing campaigns
- Manages and optimizes the company's referral campaign to boost brand awareness, engagement, and conversions for promotion and enrollment growth
- Researches social media trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
- Stays informed about emerging social media platforms and technologies that can enhance the college’s digital marketing efforts
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
