Social Media Marketing Intern

Summary

Join Good Party.org as a paid Social Media Video Intern and create engaging video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels. You will receive mentorship from experienced professionals and contribute to various aspects of the social media team, from strategy to content creation. This role offers experience in a fast-paced startup environment and the opportunity to make a real impact on democracy. The internship is remote and flexible, with a pay rate of $15-25/hour. You will work 20-40 hours per week, producing 2-5 short-form videos weekly. GoodParty.org is a public benefit corporation focused on empowering independents in politics.

Requirements

• You’re a student in or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in marketing, film, business, communications, humanities, or related field

• You have a strong interest in Social Media & have the desire to grow professionally in this field
• You have experience creating video content
• You’re a clever and engaging speaker who is comfortable in front of the camera
• You live and breathe social media, you always introduce your friends to the latest trends
• You can work independently and handle multiple work streams in a remote setting. You’re able to pivot and re-prioritize at a moment’s notice

Responsibilities

• Create video social media content for TikTok and Instagram Reels that grows our audience and generates awareness of Good Party
• Schedule out posts, engage with comments, and respond to DMs
• Research and maintain awareness of current social media trends
• As part of an early stage tech start-up, you’ll have the opportunity to wear many hats and get exposure to various disciplines (e.g. mobilization, politics, product development)
• You’ll work between 20-40 hours/week depending on your availability, producing 2-5 short-form videos a week

Preferred Qualifications

• You have experience with AI tools
• You have experience with Descript or Premiere Pro software
• You have experience in social media marketing
• You have startup or entrepreneurship experience
