Social Media Marketing Manager

Summary

Join Proximity as our creative and strategic Social Media Manager! As our first Marketing/Social Media hire, you'll be responsible for building our online presence from the ground up. You'll create engaging content across multiple platforms, manage our social media strategy, and analyze performance data. This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth within a world-class team. You'll need proven social media experience, excellent writing skills, and a strong design sense. Bonus points for illustration or video skills and paid marketing experience.

Requirements

• Have proven work experience in social media and community management
• Possess excellent written communication skills
• Have a great eye for design
• Possess basic graphic design and photo editing skills
• Have good judgment and impeccable taste
• Have ideas and opinions about how we can build our online presence and can offer constructive criticism when you disagree with how things are being done
• Have the ability to work independently, be proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
• Create quick content for social media, as well as more infrequent (but important) long-form content for our blogs/newsletters
• Identify all the key platforms our brand needs to be active on, and then create a plan to make it happen
• Plan/write/shoot/schedule and optimize daily posts across multiple social platforms
• Maintain and communicate a consistent brand online
• Engage our audience online in real-time conversation, and identify more opportunities to do so
• Deliver data-informed performance reports that measure both post-level performance trends and broad reach and business impact
• Work closely with the design, product, and tech teams to create relevant content
• Design our growth and awareness strategy with remarkable social campaigns
• Grow the social media and marketing team as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Have illustration or motion/video skills
• Have prior experience managing paid marketing campaigns
