Requirements
- Experience in a technical leadership role, ideally leading a small development team
- Several years of experience as a developer
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern web development frameworks
- Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers, balancing technical execution with people management
- Experience conducting code reviews, technical interviews, and performance evaluations
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with an ability to implement long-term solutions
- Ability to collaborate across departments, aligning technical decisions with business goals
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding the team through complex challenges
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment where developers can thrive
- Drive technical decision-making, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
- Conduct regular 1:1s and coaching sessions, supporting team growth and development
- Contribute to code reviews, development planning, and process improvements
- Align engineering efforts with business goals and product priorities
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams to improve workflows, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment
- Support onboarding and continuous learning, ensuring team members are set up for success
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, solving challenges and mentoring developers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, where collaboration is key
- Background in technical strategy, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
