Contribute to code reviews, development planning, and process improvements, aligning engineering efforts with business goals and product priorities. Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams to enhance workflows and efficiency. Support onboarding and continuous learning, promoting a culture of innovation and accountability.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical leadership role, ideally leading a small development team
  • Several years of experience as a developer
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern web development frameworks
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers, balancing technical execution with people management
  • Experience conducting code reviews, technical interviews, and performance evaluations
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with an ability to implement long-term solutions
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, aligning technical decisions with business goals
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding the team through complex challenges
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment where developers can thrive
  • Drive technical decision-making, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and coaching sessions, supporting team growth and development
  • Contribute to code reviews, development planning, and process improvements
  • Align engineering efforts with business goals and product priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams to improve workflows, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment
  • Support onboarding and continuous learning, ensuring team members are set up for success
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact, solving challenges and mentoring developers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, where collaboration is key
  • Background in technical strategy, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
