Software Engineer, Remote - Worldwide

Summary

The Software Engineer will design and oversee the implementation of software for CodaMetrix's award-winning products, focusing on scalability, security, quality, and performance. They will be responsible for delivering and monitoring software products in production, coordinating with other team members, and participating in all team activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience in an agile/scrum environment
• 5+ years of experience with Java and JavaScript
• Experience with AWS (S3, IAM, SQS, KMS), Spring Boot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of testing methodologies; including unit, contract, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Experience building software products from scratch through production deployment and support
• Experience monitoring and optimizing software with APM tools like DataDog and Grafana
• Experience working in a startup / fast paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both management and peers
• Bachelors in Computer Science or similar program

Responsibilities

• Develop mission critical microservices
• Produce technical documentation, software, and supporting test code
• Coordinate with other team members in evaluating product requirements, delivery and testing of integrated code components, and in resolving discrepancies between software specifications and application behavior
• Sustain existing functionality via technology updates and functional enhancements
• Participate in all team activities, including agile ceremonies and reviews of other engineers designs and code

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Software Development experience
• Experience improving performance and scaling of distributed systems
• Experience in developing SaaS healthcare solutions dealing with HL7 or FHIR
• Experience working on large scale digital transformation projects
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Camunda
• Experience with Mirth Connect
• Proficient in other programming languages such as Python and Go
• Statistical background and/or exposure to ML techniques and programming
