Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer (Platform, Security & Risks) at Deputy, a global SaaS workforce management company. The role involves working on the platform's security aspects and building products and features. The candidate should have experience in information security fundamentals, distributed web-based applications, and associated security toolings.

Requirements

• Strong experience in information security fundamentals
• Experience with distributed web-based applications services (we use PHP, Go & JS) and their security posture, risk, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with SAST & DAST, CI/CD pipelines, and associated security toolings around SDLC (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Snyk, etc)
• Deep knowledge on web application vulnerabilities, secure coding, and fundamentals on cryptography (e.g: OWASP)
• Experience with building and testing Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans in the cloud (AWS) across multiple regions
• Experience with authentication & authorization platforms, CIAM, OAuth2, OpenID, and ensuring high customer security posture

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions considering cloud security best practices
• Align with compliance and security controls to mitigate platform and organizational risks
• Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement
• Engage in technical discussion of solutions and ideas through planning, documentation, design reviews, pair programming, code review, and technology discussions
• Mentor and guide more junior engineers in an impactful and meaningful way to their growth trajectory
