Software Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Go engineer to work on Hubble, Isovalent's network and security observability platform. The role involves developing high-quality Go code for both open source projects and Isovalent’s enterprise offering. The candidate should have experience with Go, Kubernetes, SQL (preferably ClickHouse), Linux systems design, security, networking, API design, and public speaking at technical open source conferences.

Requirements

• Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience
• Ample experience with Go
• Desire to write high quality and efficient code
• Some experience with Kubernetes, Cloud Native workloads and/or distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Go code for the Hubble open source projects while following open source development principles and best practices
• Develop high-quality Go code for Isovalent’s network and security observability platform, including our in-house analytics solution

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL (we use ClickHouse ) and query optimization for large datasets is a plus
• Knowledge about Linux systems design, security and/or networking, Linux kernel knowledge is a plus
• Experience designing and implementing APIs is a plus
• A public track record of open source code commits is a plus
• Experience in public speaking at technical open source conferences is a plus
