Software Engineer

Summary

Join a high-impact team at Voldex, a leading Roblox game developer, and build features for games played by millions daily. This full-time role involves collaborating with designers, producers, artists, and analysts to bring new features and ideas to life. You will build and launch features, write clean and maintainable game code, partner with other teams to craft gameplay experiences, debug and improve existing systems, and provide regular playtest feedback. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years developing on Roblox / Minecraft / another UGC gaming platform, either as a hobby or professionally
• 1+ years of experience in software development (games or related fields)
• A strong foundation in CS fundamentals and problem-solving
• Experience with game engines, scripting languages (Lua a plus), and version control
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, team-first mindset
• A passion for creating games that resonate with players

Responsibilities

• Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily
• Write clean, performant, and maintainable game code
• Partner with designers, artists, and producers to craft gameplay experiences from concept to live
• Debug and improve existing systems in live, large-scale Roblox games
• Playtest regularly and provide feedback on feel, balance, and polish

Preferred Qualifications

• Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms
• Game jam or modding experience—projects you’ve loved building
• Familiarity with live game systems (analytics, economy tuning, etc.)
