Software Engineer II

Summary

At Nuna, the mission is to make affordable and accessible healthcare through data-driven solutions. The Production Applications team builds web applications for value-based care programs, with a focus on scalable APIs, complex problem-solving, and high-quality code. This role requires 2+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in programming languages, excellent debugging skills, and a passion for writing high-quality code.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages such as python, java, javascript or other relevant languages
• 2+ years of experience in a full-time software engineering role
• Excellent debugging and data analysis skills with real experience problem-solving with data
• Ability to write clearly and document their ideas

Responsibilities

• Building performant, well-documented, scalable APIs that can answer complex questions about data
• Partnering with other engineers to solve complex business and engineering problems
• Designing schemas in partnership with data engineers and health data experts that can quickly serve results and generate reports
• Building a well-tested, continuously-deployable, and high-quality codebase that supports developer velocity and exceptional reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Experience with data in healthcare, fintech, or other similar industries
• Experience working on compliant and secure systems, in partnership with audit, legal, and security
