Software Engineer II - Front-end

Summary

The Software Engineer II role is an opportunity to join Foundry, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, as part of their team building decentralized infrastructure for the cryptocurrency industry. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with a focus on front-end development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3-5 years of professional software development experience, focused on front-end development
• Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++, etc.)
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Passion for software development and a desire to grow as a software engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets customers' needs
• Collaborate with product managers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions in accordance with best practices and coding standards
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance skills and contribute to technology decisions
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular project updates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building financial dashboards or information dense dashboards
• Experience with and passion for the crypto industry
