Software Engineer Intern

Summary

Join Addepar's Analysis, Widgets, and Dashboards Team (AWD) as a Software Engineer Intern and contribute to building new modules and functionality for the next generation of Addepar's core product. This 12-week remote internship (June-August 2025) is open to US and Canadian students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution. You will implement backend improvements, potentially expanding to full-stack development, collaborate with product managers and designers, and deliver client-requested features to production. The ideal candidate possesses strong software engineering skills, excellent communication, and a drive to solve complex problems. Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution (university must be located in the US or Canada) & must be returning to school after internship
• Available to intern for the full 12 weeks
• Outstanding talent in software engineering. Ability to write high quality object oriented code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Some understanding of development best practices and experience working in a team
• Driven to explore complex problems spaces objectively from multiple points of view
• Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
• General familiarity with some of the technologies we use: HTTP, REST and web API best practices. Java, Python, React, MySQL, Kafka

Responsibilities

• Join a team that is actively crafting some of the core features within the product
• Implement backend focused improvements with the opportunity to perform full stack development depending on your interests
• Partner with product managers and designers to build compelling features
• Work with your teammates to deliver client requested features to production

Preferred Qualifications

• Linux proficiency, basic shell scripting and a good grasp of systems level programming is a plus
• Specific experience in or knowledge of financial data systems
