Software Engineer Team Lead

Join TRG's Discovery team as a Software Engineer Team Lead and lead the development of modern microservice-backed products for intelligence solutions. You will be responsible for leading the development of new applications and features, optimizing existing codebases, defining project work efforts, and managing timelines. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with extensive experience in Java and team leadership. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor team members. Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Java (at least 5 years)
• Proven experience leading a team or managing projects in a technical capacity
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch)
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Proficiency with Version Control (preferably Git)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new applications and features (back-end)
• Break down complex business challenges into actionable software engineering tasks
• Optimize existing codebases for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Define project work efforts, create development roadmaps, and manage timelines
• Perform code reviews, oversee pair-programming sessions, and uphold coding standards
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to iterate and enhance product offerings
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network and/or telecom protocols
• Working knowledge of Angular/Typescript and front-end technologies in general (HTML, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS/SASS)
• Familiarity with microservice-based, event-driven, cloud-native architectures, including aspects like Application Monitoring, Metrics, Tracing, and Authentication/Authorization
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Python or Node.js
• Knowledge of ReactJS
