Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing small teams of engineers
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience building SaaS products
  • Experience building or designing any of the following systems: social networks, messaging applications, ERP systems or CRMs
  • Proven track record leading diverse and distributed teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degrees are a plus
  • Experience in production environments with any of the following (or equivalents): React , TypeScript, Go, PHP , AWS, PostgreSQL
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Collaborative mindset focused on business impact
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to ensure the proposed plan abides by the timeline, team capacity, budget, and scope
  • Drive the technical roadmap for the team in close collaboration with the PM and the product roadmap
  • Manage and improve systems to maintain high service availability for our customers
  • Enable your team first; deliver your own projects second
  • Act as the glue for execution (e.g., organizing sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) in a way that fosters effective collaboration with the rest of the company
  • Support and mentor the engineers on your team (around 5) to grow their careers
  • Maintain a healthy team culture characterized by trust and psychological safety
  • Collaborate with Recruiting to grow your team over the next few years
  • Coordinate resolution of production incidents
