Software Tester

Summary

Join European Dynamics as a Software Tester and contribute your expertise remotely within the EU. Collaborate with a major client's IT team on-site, designing, executing, and recording tests for Microsoft-based platforms and custom applications. Support system administrators in defining test cases and perform infrastructure-level testing. Test critical patches and vulnerability fixes, report maintenance needs, and conduct system and acceptance testing. Define and execute test cases to ensure the quality of systems and technical activities. Perform technical/regression and non-regression testing on ICT systems. This role requires a university degree in IT or a relevant field, along with 8+ years of experience as a Software Tester.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 8 years of relevant working experience as Software Tester
• Experience in test design, execution, and documentation for Microsoft platforms and custom-built applications
• Experience in test case definition and infrastructure-level testing support
• Experience in patch and vulnerability testing for Microsoft-based environments
• Experience in system and acceptance testing in collaboration with users, project managers, business analysts, operations, and developers
• Experience in maintenance reporting for testing procedures and outcomes
• Experience in technical, regression, and non-regression testing after technical upgrades
• Experience in ICT Systems
• Knowledge of the main tools used for project backlog management (e.g. JIRA, TFS, or similar)
• Excellent command of the English language

Responsibilities

• Design, Execute and record tests including but not limited to Microsoft based platforms and custom built applications
• Support system administrator in defining test cases and perform tests in relation to changes at infrastructure level
• Testing critical patches and vulnerability fixes for MS based platforms and custom built applications
• Report testing maintenance needs
• Perform System and Acceptance testing activities in cooperation with business, users, Project Managers and Business Analyst, ICT Operations staff and developers
• Define and execute test cases to ensure the quality of the systems implemented by the Information Management Unit
• Define and execute test cases to ensure the correct implementation of technical activities performed by the Information Management Unit
• Perform technical/regression and non-regression testing on the ICT Systems under responsibility following technical upgrades, in cooperation with the ICT Operations staff

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB Test Manager or similar certification
