Solution Architect

Summary

Aequilibrium is seeking a Solution Architect with Backbase experience to join their team in a remote role. The Solution Architect will design web-based architectures, work closely with clients and the development team, create technical architecture documentation, and ensure implementations meet non-functional requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Java platform exceeds our expectations
• Created solutions for financial services (especially banking)
• Experienced in Spring, Maven, and Jenkins
• Demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), as well as Micro-Services Architecture
• JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns, and principles of REST APIs, ideally including RAML and/or OpenAPI, are second nature to you
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks and best practices
• Professionally worked with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks
• Broad, operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications in a highly available and scalable environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

Responsibilities

• Ascertain that envisaged solutions become reality
• Translate customer requirements into a distinguished design
• Dedicate to security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, and serviceability
• Guide and oversee the team during implementation processes
• Create technical architecture documentation
• Work with the QA lead to define the test strategy
• Lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure that implementations meet non-functional requirements
• Travel a significant amount of the time, spending time on-site during the inception phase and when providing training and workshops

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced working with the Backbase platform
• Have experience with Portal/Web Content Management
• Familiarity with architectural patterns, such as Microservices, CQRS, and event sourcing
• Experience with server virtualization and container technology such as Docker, VMWare, HyperV
• Professionally used Integration Platforms, API Gateway, etc
