Requirements

• Your knowledge of the Java platform exceeds our expectations
• Have created solutions for financial services (especially banking)
• Be experienced in Spring, Maven, and Jenkins
• Have a demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), as well as Micro-Services Architecture
• Possess familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns, and principles of REST APIs, ideally including RAML and/or OpenAPI
• Easily access your knowledge and best practices when discussing architectural frameworks
• Have professionally worked with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks
• Possess broad, operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications in a highly available and scalable environment
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills in English

Responsibilities

• Ascertain that envisaged solutions become reality
• Be equally comfortable in deep-dive technical workshops and in board-level sales presentations
• Find the scope in large-scale, complex projects
• Serve as the vital mainstay during implementation processes for the development team
• Serve as the expert liaison with a keen sense of customer and partner needs
• Fulfill a leading role within the development team
• Translate customer requirements into a distinguished design
• Dedicate yourself to security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, and serviceability
• Guide and oversee your team by creating structure and clear explanations
• Create technical architecture documentation
• Work with the QA lead to define the test strategy
• Lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure that implementations meet non-functional requirements
• Travel significantly, spending time on-site during the inception phase and when providing training and workshops

Preferred Qualifications

• Be experienced working with the Backbase platform
• Have experience with Portal/Web Content Management
• Be familiar with architectural patterns, such as Microservices, CQRS, and event sourcing
• Have experience with server virtualization and container technology such as Docker, VMWare, HyperV
• Have professionally used Integration Platforms, API Gateway, etc
