Summary

Brinqa is seeking a Solution Architect to design projects, implement products, and certify solution designs. The role involves facilitating meetings with system owners, developing supporting materials for requirement building, mentoring junior staff members, translating business requirements into user stories, working with the development team, performing stakeholder engagement, outreach activities, and Agile ceremonies, and documenting procedures and manuals for the systems developed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related discipline or 4+ years of previous technical experience, specifically security systems engineering experience
  • Experience integrating data sources and API connectors to ensure seamless data flow into Brinqa for risk assessment and analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of cyber security and vulnerability management concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent knowledge of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms including SaaS, XaaS, & PaaS
  • Good understanding of all cybersecurity offerings in the market and ability to comfortably discuss cybersecurity solutions an architectures
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Python and shell scripts
  • Experience software development and related technologies such as Java, REST API, and GraphQL

Responsibilities

  • Solution design and review of all business process and system level changes as part of continual service improvement
  • Provide design perspectives to the process teams to maintain consistency, stability and supportability of the solution and processes in conjunction with maintaining the organizational roadmap for the solution while utilizing current vendor solution capabilities and the product roadmap
  • Facilitate meetings with system owners and other stakeholders to gather business requirements
  • Develop supporting materials to facilitate requirement building such as wireframes, sample dashboards, and user journey maps
  • Mentor junior staff members on consulting customers during the implementation phase and providing solutions
  • Translate business requirements into user stories for the development team
  • Work with the development team to continuously refine the documented requirements
  • Perform stakeholder engagement, outreach activities, and facilitate Agile ceremonies
  • Develop procedures, manuals, and other documentation for the systems developed based on the requirements gathered
  • Support testing activities during each sprint
  • Work with onsite and offshore developers to provide insight on business requirements and functional design

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP certification or similar
  • Experience with NoSQL and/or large-scale data systems
