Solution Architect

Summary

Join our team as a Solution Architect! This is a contract position (up to 24 months) with a primary location in Winnipeg, Manitoba, offering both onsite and remote work options. We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect with a minimum of 8 years of experience in technical IT roles within complex enterprise environments and at least 3 years of experience developing solution architectures across n-tiered platforms. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of Information Architecture principles and experience with Azure Architecture and Enterprise Architecture frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams, provide technical leadership, and contribute to innovative solutions within the Government of Manitoba.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Information Architecture principles, Data Management, and integration tools
• Experience with Azure Architecture, Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), and security services
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system integrator and development teams to design and validate technology solutions
• Provide technical leadership and ensure consistency throughout the solution's lifecycle
• Review and validate technical requirements to transition designs into working solutions
• Participate in all project phases to ensure correct installation, configuration, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Operationalization, large transformational projects, and integration platforms (Snaplogic, Azure Integration Services)
• Knowledge of SMS and SMTP services (Twilio, SendGrid) and Enterprise Business Intelligence (PowerBI)
• Public sector experience is a plus
