Summary

Join Grass Valley as a Camera Solutions Architect, reporting to the Director of Pre-Sales, Americas. You will be the primary pre-sales contact for camera solutions in North America, serving as a subject matter expert on high-end video production. This role requires strong technical knowledge of cameras, baseband and IP infrastructure, and excellent communication skills to interact with diverse clients. The position offers remote work flexibility but requires up to 50% travel and the ability to store equipment at home. A competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits are included.

Requirements

  • Possess a strong background and understanding of high-end video production and the tools that support ‘broadcast quality’ production environments
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Live within easy access to a major airport
  • Be able to occasionally store camera equipment at or near your home
  • Be mechanically knowledgeable and self-sufficient
  • Possess proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications
  • Have excellent command of English for writing, speaking, and reading

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for camera pre-sales in North America
  • Predict client’s future camera needs and create competitive solutions
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences
  • Curate connections with current and future customers to establish a foundation for long-standing working relationships
  • Showcase cameras and demonstrate strong knowledge of imager and color science
  • Deliver outstanding verbal and physical presentation skills, engaging audiences effectively
  • Provide superb interpersonal and customer service skills, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Demonstrate strong technical and operational understanding of professional video cameras, baseband, and IP infrastructure
  • Showcase technical and operational expertise with broadcast and cine lenses
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Transport and store demo equipment safely, without assistance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in PowerPoint: presentation editing, organization, and slide creation
  • Proficient in image creation and editing using applications such as Photoshop, Gimp, or similar tools
  • Possess strong travel coordination and time management skills
  • Be multi-lingual (Spanish, Dutch, others)
  • Have experience responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
