Summary

The Circonus Solutions Engineer role involves advising customers on the value of Circonus' technology, leading technical conversations, creating demos, implementing solutions, and collaborating with the sales team. The position is remote. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing, technical role, exceptional communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing, sales oriented technical role as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer or equivalent
  • Experience with scripting in a language like Python and devops tools
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customer β€œC-Suite” executive management
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving initiatives through to execution
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving and ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
  • Proactive self-management owning and completing tasks as needed
  • Experience working with project management software such as JIRA
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead technically oriented conversations with customers
  • Contribute to all pre and post technical sales efforts
  • Design, build, and present demos for business and technical stakeholders
  • Travel to customer and prospect locations as needed/requested basis
  • Bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for our platform at conferences, customer events, webinars, etc
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand and qualify customer requirements
  • Plan and modify solutions to meet customer needs
  • Liaise with customers and prospects to ensure expectations and quality goals are met
  • Respond to RFPs
  • Provide product feedback, technical insight, and customer requirements to Product team
  • Ensure all relevant processes are performed per internal procedure and documentation
  • Provide coaching to the Sales team to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in the technology industry
  • Experience and/or senior level technical knowledge of monitoring and analytics solutions such as Prometheus, ElasticSearch or Graphite
