Summary

Join fusionSpan as our Solutions Engineering Lead and help nonprofits harness the power of Salesforce. You will lead discovery conversations, design innovative Salesforce solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and demos. This customer-facing role blends consulting, sales engineering, and storytelling, requiring strategic thinking and strong communication skills. You will work with various Salesforce clouds (CRM, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Experience Cloud) to build scalable solutions. Requirements

  • Salesforce certifications in Agentforce Specialist, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud
  • Significant experience in a customer-facing role or sales organization
  • Excellent business and technical presentation skills, communication ( oral & written ), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, including comfort with technical concepts and ability to become a subject matter expert with new technology applications
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with a high emotional IQ
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute
  • Ability to make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan with limited guidance
  • Results-oriented, prioritizes work activities, plans and stays organized in order to meet commitments
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead thoughtful conversations with nonprofit stakeholders to uncover business challenges, CX pain points, and long-term goals
  • Translate client aspirations into solution hypotheses, showing how Salesforce and fusionSpan can unlock greater impact
  • Craft Salesforce-first solutions across CRM, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Experience Cloud, with a lens on customer experience and operational excellence
  • Build scalable, future-ready architectures tailored to nonprofit sector needs — from membership to fundraising to program impact
  • Create and deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations that speak to mission, metrics, and user experience
  • Partner with Account Executives, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to align technical vision with real-world application
  • Shape winning responses to RFPs in collaboration with proposal writers, emphasizing value creation, innovation, and mission alignment
  • Act as the connective tissue between Sales, Delivery, Product, and Partners (Salesforce, ISVs, and others) to ensure solution accuracy and client alignment
  • Represent fusionSpan in pre-sales workshops, discovery sessions, and executive briefings
  • Lead solution scoping, level-of-effort estimates, and phased roadmaps that balance ambition with feasibility
  • Support handoff to delivery with documentation that ensures clarity, continuity, and client confidence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical and strategic consulting skills and balance between a service-driven and sales mindset
  • Deep understanding of diverse industries
  • Experience with CEM, cross-channel customer experience, Voice of the Customer, survey methodologies and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Previous experience in pre or post-Sales support
