Sr Database Developer

Summary

The job is for a MS SQL Server Developer with 10+ years of experience, requiring a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related subject. The role involves database design, development, migration, and maintenance, using tools like SQL Server PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, and Tableau. The candidate should also have skills in C# .NET, Angular (Blazor UI preferred), and Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps. They must be able to work independently and with business users, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in tuning queries for optimal performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a MS SQL Server Developer or similar role
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• 5-7 years of experience with SQL Server PowerBI
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including installation and configuration
• Experience with SSIS, including installation and configuration
• Report development using SSRS, PowerBI, or Tableau
• Design, development, and testing of RESTful web APIs
• Front-end development using Angular (Blazor UI preferred)
• Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps
• Job scheduling/orchestration software (JAMS preferred)
• Active Directory, including running applications under AD/Kerberos
• Experience working with large sets of data and resolving data-oriented issues
• Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance

Responsibilities

• Database design and development
• Database migration and implementations
• Creating/maintaining interfaces using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ETL Tool or another ETL product

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with database migration from OnPrem to Azure Cloud
