Summary

The job is for a Senior Product and Market Research Analyst at UtilityAPI, a U.S. Department of Energy grant-supported software company in the clean energy sector. The role involves creating a new research and data analytics function, identifying key opportunities for scaling the business, preparing reports, and supporting marketing and executive teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in climate tech, the utility sector, or electrification
• Experience providing consultation to diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Experience using analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of UtilityAPI’s customers via a diverse set of research methodologies
• Define analytics requirements for a diverse set of stakeholders, identifying and prioritizing key opportunities for scaling the business, target markets, and product positioning
• Think holistically across a customer's end-to-end journey to identify target segments, friction points, and product priorities
• Prepare and present reports to highlight key product performance indicators and make data-driven recommendations
• Support the Marketing Team’s initiatives related to improving targeted funnel metrics, launching new products, and maximizing the use of internal marketing tools such as HubSpot
• Support the Executive Team in developing market assessment, including TAM/SAM/SOM, competitive intelligence, SWOT, and data room requirements

Preferred Qualifications
