Sr. Product Designer

Summary

The job description is for a Design Leader with 6+ years of experience who will drive the design process at Matterport to improve the logged-in customer experience. The role involves owning end-to-end design problems across multiple platforms, prioritizing competing needs, and working across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience
• Strong portfolio that highlights elegant solutions to complex problems
• An incredible eye for detail and mastery of all applicable design software (Cinema 4D, Blender, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience working with 3D and designing in AR/VR
• Evangelize for user research and working with data to inform decisions
• Experience working with both product, marketing, and engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the design process in the production lifecycle including planning, scoping, design reviews and delivery
• Prioritize competing needs with creative solutions
• Own end-to-end design problems across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web)
• Apply your passion for problem solving to guide design processes, best practices, mentor talented members of the team, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to create innovative experiences
