Summary

TripArc is a $750 million privately held company that empowers travel agencies and tour operators with access to comprehensive travel options and services globally. The UX team is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to refine user experiences and create intuitive designs for the network of over 1400 travel entities. The designer will collaborate closely with UX designers, Content Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process.

Requirements

  • Online portfolio
  • 5+ years in Visual design
  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Deep understanding of typography, colour theory, layout and shape psychology
  • Strong knowledge of Figma, Illustrator, Aftereffects or equivalents
  • Ability to lead projects from conception through to completion
  • Ability to work well with others across the business
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations
  • Curiosity, continuous learning and an open-minded attitude

Responsibilities

  • Understand user needs, business goals, technical realities and translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity
  • Develop Visual Interface Design concepts based on the definition of user needs, task analysis, and the personas
  • Produce animation/motion solutions and demos created in Figma, After Effects or similar software
  • Continuously work with the Design System patterns and rules, test, update, create and evolve them
  • Assist UX designers by leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of color theory and layout, along with your sharp focus on the subtle details of interface design
  • Use participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, user interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify UI design concepts
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented
  • Attend and facilitate review meetings and demos
  • Provide status reports on projects and proactively raise any issues or concerns as they arise
