Staff Accountant

Summary

Consumer Edge is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing routine accounting tasks, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, 1-3 years of accounting experience preferably in corporate accounting environment, and knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferably in corporate accounting environment
• Experience in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations to management
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective business operations
