Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to AP and general ledger functions
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Costpoint or similar ERP systems is a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Maintain vendor records, including onboarding, updates, and documentation compliance
  • Reconcile AP subledger accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Monitor payment schedules to ensure compliance with terms and deadlines
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in the month-end closing process
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations
  • Assist with accruals, prepaids, and other month-end tasks
  • Support intercompany transactions and reconciliation activities
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and analysis for management review
  • Support budget-to-actual comparisons and variance analysis
  • Contribute to ad hoc reporting needs as required
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline AP processes and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Document workflows and support the implementation of new tools or systems to enhance operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with accounts payable systems and workflows
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis)
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
