Summary

Join Mitratech, a team of technocrats building world-class products for Fortune 100 companies. As a Staff Accountant, you will support the month-end close process, maintain accurate and timely close processes, support monthly financial reporting, maintain accounting schedules, and support the annual audit process. You will also prioritize assignments, perform ad-hoc projects, and interact with external auditors. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the General Ledger Manager and provides support to Accounting/Finance team management.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years minimum of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience working in NetSuite or other large accounting systems
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized and strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Self-confident team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in accounting

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process as it relates to preparing and taking ownership of month-end tasks, posting journal entries (including intercompany eliminating entries), maintaining detailed general ledger (GL) schedules, and reconciling key accounts
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and timely close processes for both month-end and year-end
  • Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis reporting and fielding questions from other business lines
  • Maintain accounting schedules (including, intangibles, capitalized software, etc.) and capturing relevant general ledger activity
  • Support the annual audit process through preparation of audit schedules and fielding any questions
  • Prioritize assignments and projects in a constantly changing environment
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed
