Join Mosaic, a company dedicated to financing clean energy for homes, as a Staff Accountant. This remote-first role involves hands-on accounting, reconciliations, and operational duties within a mission-based organization. You will be responsible for cash reconciliations, managing Oracle Cash Management, implementing new rules, creating new companies and bank accounts, preparing financial calculations and statements, and participating in audits. The position requires 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in the financial/banking industry, including loan/lending accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. Requirements
- 3+ years relevant Accounting experience in the Financial/Banking Industry
- 1+ year loan/lending accounting experience required (includes strong backgrounds include credit card companies, equipment finance, auto finance, mortgage, or specialty finance companies)
- Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, logic formulas, vlookup, sum functions)
- Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend corrective actions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Thorough and detailed oriented with strong communication skills
- Driven to exceed expectations in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare cash reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
- Manage Oracle Cash Management and the reconciliation cash and intercompany activity
- Implement new rules in Oracle Cash Management to capture external transactions
- Own the creation of new companies and bank accounts in the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
- Prepare monthly Facility/Securitization Waterfall calculations and journal entries, income statements and balance sheet analysis
- Corporate card and expense reimbursement and reporting
- 1099 reporting
- Participate in interim and year-end audits
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to document and incorporate new transactions or processes into the General Ledger
- Identify process and control improvement opportunities and work with management and peers to implement appropriate changes
- Lead and contribute to the implementation of new or enhancements of current accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Maintain a solid understanding and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Cross train with other team members to ensure coverage of all accounting areas
- Support special projects, ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP Systems, Oracle Financials a plus
