Staff Accountant

You will support the Senior Accountants and Accounting Manager by performing various accounting tasks, including analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting principles and internal control procedures knowledge. You will ensure accurate T&E spend reflection in the general ledger, assist with Accounts Payable operations, and support month-end close processes. Additionally, you will perform variance analysis, assist with audits, and complete ad hoc data and reporting projects. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering excellent internal customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to deliver a first-class internal customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Accountants with analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Follow proper accounting procedures and build journal entries so that T&E spend is accurately reflected in the Company’s general ledger
• Liaise with the Accounting Manager, and Senior Accountant to regularly monitor adherence and controls around the Company’s T&E and Purchasing policies
• Assist the Accounts Payable team with daily operations, including vendor maintenance and purchase requisition workflow
• Perform general ledger tasks as needed to support month-end close processes
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Complete ad hoc data and reporting projects as directed by the Accounting Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
• Experience with SAP Concur
• Comfortability or experience in a technology-driven environment
