Staff Accountant

Summary

Join a fast-growing fintech company providing cloud-based accounting services to small businesses as an experienced accountant. Manage client onboarding projects, clean up and set up accounting systems, and work with diverse clients. Prepare accurate financial statements, perform reconciliations, and communicate directly with clients. Utilize cloud-based accounting platforms and identify scope changes. Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a small or mid-sized CPA firm)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP-based accounting and financial reporting
• Experience working with multiple clients from different industries
• C1 English fluency or equivalent
• Experience in a client-facing role and client onboarding processes

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, accrual-basis financial statements
• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank, credit card, merchant service, and loan accounts
• Clean up and set up client accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Manage multiple onboarding projects at once, meeting deadlines and staying within budget
• Communicate directly with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions
• Use cloud-based accounting platforms and integrated tools to streamline processes (QuickBooks Online, Xero, A2X, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
• Identify and communicate scope changes early to onboarding managers

Preferred Qualifications

• QuickBooks Online certification is a plus but nor mandatory
• E-commerce accounting experience

• Salary: $3000 - $4000 USD /month
