Staff Accountant

Summary

Join User Interviews as a Staff Accountant for a temporary, full-time, 6-month contract position. You will be responsible for key accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable processing, reconciliations, and supporting month-end reporting. This role requires collaboration with various departments and direct reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 1+ years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Google Suite. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years of experience in an accounting role in an industry with a fast-paced environment (preferably at a SaaS company)
• Strong attention to detail and basic understanding of US GAAP
• Totally comfortable in Google Suite
• Proficient in Excel - you nerd out on those keyboard shortcuts
• A quick study who picks up new systems with ease
• Strong sense of urgency and can manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills and can convey accounting/financial concepts to a diverse audience
• Candidates must be located in the United States and authorized to work without any Visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Processing of Accounts Payable and preparation of corresponding reconciliations
• Processing of Accounts Receivables (including payment application) and preparation of corresponding reconciliations
• Partner within the team and across departments on special projects and process improvements
• Support the month-end close reporting cycle
• Identify, address, and manage financial reporting risks
• Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in processes and controls
• Understand department policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursing a CPA license
