Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Staff or Lead Frontend Engineer or similar senior-level frontend engineering role
  • Hands-on technical leadership experience, providing direction and mentorship to frontend teams
  • Extensive experience with React for developing rich, interactive web applications
  • Strong skills in building and optimizing high-performance, responsive, and accessible web interfaces
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of modern web development techniques and tools
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining frontend architectures, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Experience in UI/UX design principles
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and time management skills
  • Reside in Europe (inc UK) and have legal work eligibility within the country you will be based

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the evolution of our frontend architecture and user experience
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor other engineers on best practices in frontend architecture, design patterns, and development workflows
  • Establish and execute the frontend technology roadmap, focusing on scalability and maintainability
  • Architect and develop reusable, scalable components, frameworks, and features with a strong emphasis on code quality, performance, and accessibility
  • Define and establish coding standards, ensuring a high level of quality, security, and performance in all frontend projects
  • Act as a champion for operational and engineering excellence, identifying areas for continuous improvement and leading initiatives to address them
  • Identify and pioneer innovative solutions to enhance frontend workflow, CI/CD, and deployment processes
  • Tackle complex issues in UI performance, and accessibility to ensure seamless, high-quality user experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with broader product and engineering goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with server-side rendering BFF framework (e.g. Remix, Next.js)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
