Summary
Join Origin, a Series B startup reimagining wealth management, as a Product Designer. Your mission is to lead the end-to-end design process, translating research into intuitive user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create designs, conduct usability testing, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in product design with digital products, and fintech experience. Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Design, Communication or Computer Science
- At least 5+ years as a Product Designer with digital products
- Previous experience in fintech or products for financial institutions
- Evidence of strategic product thinking with the ability to develop product goals and make decisions based on the impact on people and the company
- Ability to showcase your design process that includes interaction and visual design artifacts, various iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Fluent or native English skills
- Effective in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 2 PM PST
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing people
- Translate research insights into design solutions
- Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to iterate design concepts
- Develop high-definition visual designs that align with the brand and improve user interaction
- Ensure and advocate for a seamless and intuitive UX
- Prepare files for handoff and collaborate with developers to ensure your design implementation matches the intended UX
- Plan and conduct usability testing to validate your design decisions, gathering feedback and making refinements based on testing results
- Communicate your design decisions and rationale effectively to both design and non-design stakeholders, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and users into your designs
- Create and update design documentation, such as design specifications and style guides
- Contribute to project planning sessions and help define design milestones
- Communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Solve design challenges and address issues that arise during the design and development process
