Summary
Join Calendly's growing Research & Insights team as a Staff Product Researcher, reporting directly to the Senior Director. You will lead research projects impacting product strategy, advocate for user needs, and apply mixed-methods research approaches. Your responsibilities include translating data into actionable insights, contributing to the insights culture, building cross-functional relationships, and presenting findings to executives. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience conducting research in a product or UX setting; including 5+ years of experience in business software or SaaS, ideally at a b2b and/or product led growth company
- Advanced understanding and application of qualitative and quantitative research methods and a broad range of research tools and how to apply them
- Strong examples of leading work that has influenced product strategy and/or led to a deeper understanding of users
- Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to prioritize and manage complex research projects from concept to close-out, making tradeoffs as needed to deliver results
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and/or partnering directly with product managers, designers, engineers, and product marketers
- Experience utilizing VOC data or supporting VOC programs (e.g. CSAT, NPS, etc.)
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
Responsibilities
- Envision, scope, and lead research projects that inform product strategy and experience improvements, including both generative and evaluative research
- Act as an advocate for our users and their needs, ensuring product and design teams also have a deep understanding of what to build, why, and for whom
- Apply a mixed-methods approach (surveys, un-moderated and moderated testing, interviews, teardowns, etc.)
- Translate data analysis into clear, direct, and actionable insights, with emphasis on compelling narratives that highlight both the customer and business value
- Contribute to the growth and development of the insights culture at Calendly, investing in learning and applying novel approaches to research and setting the bar for excellence
- Develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders, engaging them along the research lifecycle from initial scope to influencing action
- Present and socialize insights in a variety of forums, including directly to executives
- Balance rigor with speed, finding the βright sizeβ approach for the business need
- Manage vendors as needed to accelerate delivery or augment internal resources
