Summary

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical strategy across multiple squads and improve the patient billing experience. As part of our vision to create a smoother patient billing experience, we are in need of a Staff Software Engineer to embed on our Patient Communications squad and lead technical strategy across multiple related squads.

Requirements

  • A demonstrated track record of leading large technical projects that span multiple engineering teams and require multi-functional teamwork (we don’t have a hard requirement, but generally this comes with at least 10+ years of professional software development experience)
  • Experience mentoring and training engineers across all levels
  • Ability to scale solutions and build for long-term supportability
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive projects from ideation through to completion
  • Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
  • Excitement about our mission and a passion for solving problems to improve the healthcare financial experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-impact product features across multiple squads
  • Bring clarity to highly ambiguous projects and ensure we are building for long term maintainability
  • Mentor team members at all levels and uplevel them through trainings and sharing best practices
  • Identify and drive org-level changes to improve existing processes, infrastructure, architecture, developer happiness, etc
  • Support colleagues on the product, design and commercial teams to understand patient problems and then formulate a technical strategy to solve for them
  • Work autonomously and creatively in navigating and overcoming obstacles that you encounter
