Staff Support Engineer

Summary

Join Netlify's Support Engineering team as a Technical Support Engineer and help customers succeed with web technology. You'll provide technical support via email, forums, Slack, and video calls, troubleshooting complex networking issues and explaining concepts like HTTP(S), DNS, SSL, firewalls, and proxies.

Requirements

• Experience with network administration, system administration, and web development are extremely relevant to this role
• Proficiency with command line interface (CLI) tools such as nslookup, whois, curl, ping, traceroute, and git
• Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and React, and ability to explain browser and server caching
• Experience developing and/or troubleshooting AWS lambda functions
• Familiarity with composable web architecture and the ecosystem, including familiarity with caching layers such as Akamai, Cloudflare, and Cloudfront
• Some experience using frameworks such as GatsbyJS and NextJS
• Ability to analyze a HAR file
• Ruby (reading more than writing) and/or Go experience is a great bonus

• Explain complex networking issues to customers

Benefits

Competitive salary range of $97,750 - $132,250 for most US-based locations
