Staff Systems Engineer

Summary

Join Toast as a Staff Systems Engineer and play a key role in designing, implementing, and expanding Zuora subscription billing and payment solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver scalable technical solutions. Responsibilities include developing and configuring Zuora's product catalog, ensuring system security, designing payment solutions, and managing notifications. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with Zuora development, including APIs and ZOQL, and a proven track record of leading Zuora billing implementations. Requirements

• Experience with Zuora development, including Product Catalog, workflows, Security, Notifications, and Invoice Templates
• Experience in translating requirements into technical specifications and solution design
• Experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business analysis, systems design and integration, user interface design and implementation
• Experience in data analysis, conversion and migration, interfaces and reports
• Experience with customizing Zuora using the Zuora API and ZOQL
• Lead and implemented Zuora Billing for 1 or more companies
• 5+ years of experience with Zuora Billing

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives related to Zuora Subscription Billing and Zuora Payment
• Develop and configure Zuora’s Product Catalog, including rate plans and pricing models, to meet business needs and support billing processes
• Ensure the security and integrity of Zuora’s environment by implementing best practices and security measures
• Experience with customizing Zuora using the Zuora API and ZOQL, and integrating Zuora with other financial platforms
• Design and implement payment solutions using payment methods like Credit Card, Alternate Payment Methods (APMs), ACH, Direct Debit, etc
• Understand Payment Gateways, Country Specific requirements, Refund, Chargeback, Cancellation, and Network Tokenization
• Configure and manage notifications within Zuora to keep partners, both internal and external, informed of key events and updates
• Customize and design invoice templates in Zuora to align with branding guidelines and meet customer requirements
• Provide guidance on billing processes and best practices, using domain knowledge to drive optimal solutions to lead business discussions with customers, discover requirement, frame a problem statement, lead solution workshops and deliver a Technical solution

Preferred Qualifications

• Zuora Admin and Architect certifications
• Knowledge of Zuora RevPro
