Join our client, a part of an award-winning travel group, as a Strategic Account Coordinator! You will play a key role in maximizing sales potential through key accounts by implementing hotel offers, conducting competitive analysis, building internal packages, and setting pricing. This is a remote position, perfect for candidates in Latin America, offering professional growth and a supportive work environment. You will work with hotel partners to negotiate rates, ensure timely offer implementation, and troubleshoot product issues. Building strong relationships with hotels, DMCs, and agencies is crucial, as is contributing to sales strategies. The position requires strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, along with proficiency in MS Excel and online collaboration tools.
Requirements
- A service-oriented team player with a proactive can do attitude
- 3+ years of relevant travel industry experience, ideally with a vacation tour operator or large agency
- 3+ years of rate negotiation
- Advanced English level
- Excellent verbal/written communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, online collaboration tools, etc
- Outgoing personality, skilled at building rapport and developing relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and operate under pressure
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Consistently meet or exceed performance goals and maintain productivity standards
- Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities and demonstrate good time management
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5.30pm, EST
Responsibilities
- On a monthly basis reach out to select hotel partners to solicit/negotiate net rate package deals for upcoming planned and ad hoc marketing activities
- Responsible for dedicated campaign schedule; ensuring preferred partner has campaign scheduled for each quarter
- Ensure all FIT offers provided by hotel partners are on sale in a timely manner and recorded on internal tracker
- Ensure partner offers requested for upcoming marketing / promotional activities are received in house and oaded/flowing via connectivity in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot product issues, at request of Management - e.g. identifying and rectifying issues where resorts and/or room categories are available via Softrip connectivity but not flowing through API to Travel Agencies
- Check hotel inventory via Softrip system to identify resorts with and without sufficient availability to optimize merchandising within marketing activities
- Build relationships with hotel, DMC, agencies and attend monthly meetings with Management to discuss hotel sale goals and help strategize ways top increase sales YOY
