Join CivicScience's Advertising team as a Strategic Account Manager to nurture client relationships, drive account growth, and craft compelling data-driven narratives. You will act as a consultative partner, fluent in ad tech, maximizing campaign impact and revenue. Responsibilities include developing client strategies, uncovering client goals, collaborating with internal stakeholders for upselling, synthesizing campaign data into client-ready reports, and leveraging tools like brand lift studies. You will need strong ad tech knowledge (DSPs, SSPs), excellent communication skills, and experience in account management within the advertising or ad tech industry. Requirements
- 6+ years in account management within the advertising or ad tech industry, including both brand-direct and agency-side experience
- Proven track record of client growth, retention, and consultative upselling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and measurement study results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and tell compelling stories
- Superior organizational and time management skills to work in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace products, HubSpot, Salesforce, and other ad tech
Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted lead for assigned accounts, owning strategy, relationship development, and lifecycle planning - from pre-sales proposals through onboarding to business reviews
- Uncover client goals and deliver tailored campaign strategies and optimizations that build long-term value and retention
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that grow revenue within existing accounts
- Synthesize campaign data into clear, client-ready narratives that link performance to business outcomes
- Craft impactful decks that weave insights, optimizations, and strategic recommendations
- Leverage tools like brand lift studies and audience analytics, interpreting results and building stories that clients can use to inform broader strategy
- Bring a strong, working knowledge of DSPs (The Trade Desk, Viant, etc.) and SSPs (Xandr, Index Exchange, etc.) to client conversations
- Translate technical concepts, such as bidding strategies, targeting, and pixel implementation, into value-focused dialogue
- Troubleshoot basic delivery issues and collaborate with Trading, Engineering, and Product teams when escalation is needed
- Partner with internal sales, engineering, and data teams to ensure smooth execution and ongoing innovation
- Surface client feedback to shape go-to-market offerings and influence product roadmap
- Contribute to scalable resources, including upsell templates, case studies, and best-practice materials
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with research tools, brand studies, and ad measurement platforms, a plus
